The articles in Tagua are obtained from the extremely hard seeds of
the Phytelephas macrocarpa, the Tagua palm that grows in Ecuador,
Perù and Colombia, hand carved and polished. This material,
known as Vegetal Ivory because of its hardness and its colour, is
handcrafted mainly in Ecuador (95% of the total).
